Future 50 membership recognises Norfolk & Suffolks most innovative and ambitious companies and are selected based on their growth, job creation and their drive and ambition to be leading the sector that they operate in
Over the last few years it has been suggested by contacts and customers that we apply for Future 50 a programme run by Archant and sponsored by the Eastern Daily Press (EDP), Barclays, Birketts Solicitors, NWES, Lovewell Blake and UEA. Until this year our Director Rob Scott did not feel that we were in a position to claim this accolade, however this year we did apply and we are so pleased to announce that we have been selected for the Class of 2018 as a Future50 member.
Our Managing Director Rob Scott commented
“We have been a success story over the last few years and we have grown this business from being a small home run operation to now employing 10 members of staff as well as several part time employees.” We focus on exceptional customers service which in a business swamped with Internet Only retailers is quite rare. We are totally dedicated to our customers and our employees and this shines through in the way we work with our customers.” Future 50 was a pipe dream a few years ago and we are so proud that we were even considered let alone selected and this proves what a little hard work and dedication can bring.”
We applied in October and once the applications had been received by Future50 we were surprised to be called by them to arrange an interview with Ed Savoury Legal Director from Birketts one of the sponsors of Future 50. Ed came and discussed the background to our business and how we started selling log cabins, sheds and summerhouses around 5 years ago from a small log cabin at the end of the owners garden. We have now evolved to being a very large supplier and installer of log cabins, sheds and other garden buildings across Norfolk and the UK. Ed was interested to hear about all of the additional services we can offer customers. Unlike many internet only retailers, we have a fully equipped Log Cabin and Shed Display Site for customers to visit 7 days a week. We have our own installation teams who go to customers houses to prepare the bases and install the sheds and cabins, and we offer a total end to end service which includes any ground works required such as concrete, Probase Plastic Grid Bases, Timber Bases required for the cabins, installation of the buildings, insulation and the final painting both inside and outside.
We explained to Ed Savoury about our development of our Installers and Fitters Brand and range of services which offers the additional garden and home maintenance services that our shed and log cabin customers often require. These things include Fencing, Landscaping, Painting, Patios and Footpaths and Garden Clearance and many more. For more information on our Installers and Fitters brand, call our customer service team a call on 01362 470075.
We also talked at length to Ed about our team and how we support many local initiatives including School Work Experience, Work Experience for School leavers looking to get into work, the Apprenticeship programmes that we have run through Norwich City College and NOVA Training who are based in Dereham and also our support of many local charities and initiatives. We have had some great success stories with our apprentices many of them have gone through the apprenticeship programme and now are full time members of the team, and many of whom have been a large part of the continued growth and idea generation that has led us to being eligible for Future 50.
Cabins Unlimited also shared with Ed our plans for 2018 which we will announce over coming months but our business is really looking forward to the future with Future50 giving us the support, kudos and belief we need to deliver the development and growth we are planning and new employees we will be taking on. Thanks to Ed Savoury from Birketts and the Future 50 Committee for selecting us and we hope to represent you well during 2018. We are attending the Members Networking Event at the end of this month where we will meet the Future 50 team and all of the Class of 2018 and are looking forward to sharing our findings on the blog.
